Boat Transport

RGN Trailer, Bunk Trailer, Power Only, Multi Boat Transport

Boat Transport, low boy boat trailer loaded with quad motor boat.

Boat transport done by a Removeable Gooseneck, lowboy, or double drop. This is by far our favorite type all around type of trailer. This type of trailer hauls pretty much everything big and heavy with just increasing the number of axles on the trailer. Pictured is a 4 axle and the smallest/standard that they come. At 28-29ft of “well space” or lower deck, 10-11ft of front and rear deck area and 35-40000lbs weight range (4 axle no permits) or higher these can haul about anything.
The lower desk is also 18in high from the ground allowing for 12-12.6H units (depending on state) to be hauled without height permits, big deal! These are also the type of trailer and driver that deals with width and overweight permits.

Bunk Trailers, Power Only, Multi Boat Transport

While many large boats are done via lowboy boat trailer these modified RGN’s cannot be “dipped” or backed into the water for loading. They must be loaded via boat lift or hoist.

Boats that require transport but ONLY have the option for a water load at a boat ramp can use a bunk trailer that can be dipped into the water, however boats that are too large must go the RGN trailer boat transport route.

Wrapping a boat for transport is fine but usually not needed. Half of the time the wrap begins to come off in the wind and the driver must remove it before the end of the boat transport anyway.

Many boats come on their own trailers already and just require a Power Only move where the driver just hitches to the already loaded boat trailer and goes.

Small Boat , Sail Boat , Multi Boat Transport on Step Deck Trailer:

Many small boats and small sailboats are so small you would not want to tow them on their tiny single axle trailers for long distances. The solution to this is to deck load them onto another larger trailer for the transport.

There are many dimensions and obstacles to think about before attempting to deck load your boat onto a larger trailer. The most important consideration being how to load and unload the boat and trailer from the larger trailer at each end.

The best method of loading and unloading would be forklifts or boat lifts marina to marina on each end.
This does not always happen however and so there are other methods such as backing the boat up ramps onto the truck… but again many considerations here that must but discussed with your Logi Transports specialist!
